Whoa! The way Song has smoothly blended a wide range of values, from dark black to bright white, really makes this drawing jump out at you. I also really like the cross-hatched style of shading, especially on the wings.

thsi is an awsome picture i like the detail u put into the picture the dress must have taken a long time to make with all the detail and designs on it.also i like how u portrayed the hair and how u shaded everything. it all fits together smoothly and makes the picture stand out and flow with great eise. this picture is very good and im trying to work on doing things like this. this picture is awesome and shouldnt need any color to be added because that would ruin it completley and i woould want to ask how long this took u to draw just so i can set a time limit on myself to know how much time to spend on detail and other things. and another question is, what pencils did u use. because im about to experiment on using all the different hardness of pencils and obviously you are very expeirenced in this. i hope to see plenty of your work later on.THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!

I like what Brandon’s saying in his comment, I get the idea that one point he’s making is that you can easily screw up a picture with going overboard on details if it doesn’t all flow. (And that’s one compliment he pays to your work.)
In your case, that doesn’t happen at all, you did an awesome job!

Posted May 24, 2006, 5:55 pmbrandon R- answer to ? #1- I really don’t know how long this took me to draw, I’m the type who only draws when I feel like it, which means I spend like 15min on one day and then stop and work on it the next day *trust me this goes on for days -_- (sometimes I don’t even look at it for weeks^_^) besides for me I draw best when I have a great idea or something of that sort.
answer to ? #2- I ues a .5 lead pencil only, I feel comfortable using a .5 because it’s thin enough to do details but thick enough to to bold lines *I actually have only one pencial I work with^.^(but I use at least 2or3 peices of lead for one picture ^o^)

No this isn’t from kingdom heart ^-^ i like to creat my own charaters but sadly I don’t name them’_’ I llike to draw for the designs as you can sorta see i spend more time on the clothes then the other parts>^.^

it’s amazing how much passion you have for drawing, thats great!! ^o^
well I use criss cross shading *like the wings^-^* to make it darker just press harder!!! Don’t really have a special techniqe * ‘0′ SUPRISE SUPRISE!! *
The only thing I can say is that criss cross shading is the most easiest and most look like I worked on it for hours and hours shading when it only took minutes^_^

Posted January 11, 2007, 6:06 pmSong, you are amazing! I think that you might like portrait drawing better than the anime stuff, if you ever try it. You just look at a picture or photgraph and draw it. You get to do a lot of shading and you are obviously good at that! You pay a lot of attention to detail too so that is another reason I think you would like portrait drawing.
……just a thought.
